Manga 'Grand Blue' Receives Live-Action Movie in Summer 2020
Warner Bros. Japan announced a live-action movie adaptation of Kenji Inoue and Kimitake Yoshioka's Grand Blue (Grand Blue Dreaming) manga on Wednesday. The movie, directed by Tsutomu Hanabusa (3D Kanojo: Real Girl, Kakegurui the Movie), is scheduled to open in theaters in Japan in early Summer 2020.
Synopsis
Among the seaside town of Izu's ocean waves and rays of shining sun, Iori Kitahara is just beginning his freshman year at Izu University. As he moves into his uncle's scuba diving shop, Grand Blue, he eagerly anticipates his dream college life, filled with beautiful girls and good friends.
But things don't exactly go according to plan. Upon entering the shop, he encounters a group of rowdy, naked upperclassmen, who immediately coerce him into participating in their alcoholic activities. Though unwilling at first, Iori quickly gives in and becomes the heart and soul of the party. Unfortunately, this earns him the scorn of his cousin, Chisa Kotegawa, who walks in at precisely the wrong time. Undeterred, Iori still vows to realize his ideal college life, but will things go according to plan this time, or will his situation take yet another dive? [Written by MAL Rewrite]
Inoue and Yoshioka began serializing the manga in good! Afternoon magazine in April 2014. Kodansha will publish the 15th volume (pictured right) on November 22. Grand Blue has a cumulative 4.4 million copies of its volumes in print.
A 12-episode television anime adaptation by Zero-G aired in Summer 2018. Amazon's Prime Video service exclusively streamed the show worldwide with subtitles.
Kodansha Comics licensed the manga in English in 2017 and shipped the eighth volume on October 29. Crunchyroll also simulpubs the manga digitally in English.

What about the 2nd season??
IMO many live actions recently are just to promote an eventual sequel to the original.
IF the series got the opportunity to have a LA, a S2 is probably on the way.

From my years of watching Japanese AVs (and hentai) I think they'll just pixelate blur it.
