The Oregairu Fes 2019 event announced on Sunday that the third anime season for Wataru Watari's Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru. (My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected) light novel series will premiere in April 2020. The official website also revealed a key visual (pictured) and a teaser promotional video.

Kei Oikawa (Hinamatsuri) is returning to direct the third season, subtitled Kan (The End), at animation studio feel. Keiichirou Ohchi (5-toubun no Hanayome) is handling the series composition, replacing Shoutarou Suga from the previous two seasons. Yuuichi Tanaka (Toaru Majutsu no Index) is returning as the character designer from the second season.

Cast members Takuya Eguchi, Saori Hayami, Nao Touyama, Ayane Sakura, and Aoi Yuuki are reprising as Hachiman Hikigaya, Yukino Yukinoshita, Yui Yuigahama, Iroha Isshiki, and Komachi Hikigaya, respectively.

Watari launched the romantic comedy series, also known by its short name Oregairu, in 2011 with illustrations by Ponkan 8. The light novel began its final chapter with the 12th volume in September 2017. Publishing label Gagaga Bunko will ship the 14th and final volume on November 19, following two previous delays. Oregairu has a cumulative 9 million copies of its volumes in circulation worldwide.

The first two television anime seasons aired in 2013 and 2015. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime series in North America and shipped the first season on DVD and Blu-ray in July 2014 and September 2015, respectively. The second season was released on home video in October 2016.

Yen Press licensed the light novel in English in 2015 under the title My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected. The seventh volume went on sale on November 5.

Well, as long as MC doesn't pull the same "I need both my wings to fly" BS like what happened in Macross F......anime has a natural talent for copping out of conclusive endings.

great , last season of this overrated generic harem

I wonder if there will ever be a day where you're capable of avoiding threads/topics of series you obviously don't like.
Don't give that cunt the attention. He does that shit every time and he's obviously just looking for attention since he doesn't get one in real life.

I know I should be hyped but I can't shake the feeling that it won't be as good anymore. Well, I hope that's not the case and the season will be at least satisfying.

One of those rare stories where I failed to pick a heroine.

I want it to be Iroha.
I wish it would be Yui.
I hope it would be Yukino.

But when you have stories where you like the heroines equally, it can never be a happy ending.

No matter what, I am gonna be 33% happy and 66% sad. T_T

Let's just hope for a wonderful adaptation of the final segment of this intriguing story of once a loner - Hachiman.

So damn hyped for this after the ending of S2, and it seems this will conclude the story. Hope they can deliver a great conclusion to this.
