The official website of the Maesetsu! (Maesetsu!: Opening Act) original anime updated with the production staff members and synopsis on Saturday.

Synopsis
Four 19-year-old girls—Fubuki Kitakaze, Mafuyu Kogarashi, Rin Shintani, and Nayuta Asougi—who aim to become professional comedians, practice their joke materials while working as part-timers day and night. Their motto is "Make everyone happy with laughter! Their happiness makes us happy, too." But the success is still far away from them.

The four girls aspire is to stand on the stage of Namba Grand Kagetsu, considered as "Budokan in the comedy entertainment world." However, for the time being, they have decided to enter the nearest stage for them, the lowest level of Mugendai Hall in Shibuya, Tokyo, called "Farm Class."

The story also focuses on Mafuyu's sister Manatsu and her childhood friend Kanae Kanamori high school, as well as the two-member high school girls comedy unit "JKCOOL." This is a story of struggles and success of the eight girls in four units. (Source: Crunchyroll, edited)

This show is in good hands with Studio Gokumi that made A-Channel, Kiniro Mosaic, etc.

If this'll make triangle mouths come back into fashion, I'm all for it. Though I admit my precious blessed old school triangle mouths look weird with that particular eye style and head shape, though.

Studio Gokumi? Well.... I mean I did like Yuki Yuna is a Hero a bit...
Lucky Star's creator already got me interested, but now there's the character designer of Angel Beats?! The character design was pretty nice in that show imo so... I guess that's nice?
Composer for Lucky Star's in this too... now it'll really feel like a Lucky Star successor haha

Overall it still sounds pretty promising in my eyes. Sure, a bit of doubt, but still promising.

I have a slight suspicion that the blue or green hair is a trap.

Some of the people present in this work were also present in some series that did not leave a great impression on me...

I expected it to be KyoAni, but it seems that it will be of some study. I can't stand out much about Studio Gokumi just because I saw only Tsurezur Children.

However, I still have the hyped to know that this work is inspired by Lucky Star. So I hope this one has the same style of it, or better...
