TV Anime 'Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou!' Main Staff Announced
The Frontier Works panel at Anime Expo screened a teaser promo for the television anime adaptation of Y.A's Hachi-nan tte, Sore wa Nai deshou! (The 8th son? Are you kidding me?) light novel on Saturday, revealing the main staff members. The series is scheduled for a 2020 broadcast.

Y.A launched the action fantasy novel on the Shousetsuka ni Narou website in June 2013 and ended it on March 2017. Kadokawa began publishing the series with illustrations by Choko Fuji (R.O.D Rehabilitation) in April 2014. The 17th volumes will go on sale on July 25. The light novel has a cumulative 1.8 million copies of its volumes in print.
Hiroki Kusumoto began serializing a manga adaptation on Kadokawa's ComicWalker website in April 2015. The sixth volume was published earlier this year on January 21.

I think that must have been another studio. I don't remember seeing them going bankrupt.

It might be actually, or maybe a subsidiary company asociated with them went bankrupt, and I read it as them going bankrupt or something like that, it was on ANN a while ago.

Wow if that isn't the most generic Chinese Web Novel synopsis ever! I can't believe they've moved to copy-pasting Chinese Novels in Japanese and passing it off as an original concept. It better be Seinen cause Chinese MC's are ruthless. If it's a watered-down shounen MC, I'm not feeling it.
