'Somali to Mori no Kamisama' TV Anime Delays Broadcast to January 2020

The official website for Satelight's previously announced TV anime adaptation of Yako Gureishi's fantasy web manga Somali to Mori no Kamisama announced more cast members and a broadcast delay. Originally slated for Fall 2019, the series will now debut in Winter 2020.

Shizuno: Hiroki Nanami (Nobunaga the Fool)
Yabashira: Tatsuhisa Suzuki (Nanatsu no Taizai)
Uzoi: Saori Hayami (Tsukimonogatari)
Haitora: Yuuki Ono (Hataraku Maou-sama!)

Gureishi began serializing Somali to Mori no Kamisama Web Comic Zenyon in April 2015. Kenji Yasuda (Fullmetal Alchemist episode director) will helm the series and Ikuko Itou (Princess Tutu) will design the characters.

That's too bad. I'll have to wait for this show a little bit longer. Hopefully, with the delay, they could produce quality work for this anime adaptation. The visuals in the manga were stunningly beautiful. The mangaka sure loves to give elaborate details to the backgrounds and surroundings. Would love to see those visuals in anime form with vibrant colors and excellent quality!

Bummer... ah well i still got Chihayafuru 3, Boku no Hero Academia Season 4, and Psycho Pass 3 to look forward to

Oh darn now one less show to look forward on this fall. Now will have to look forward to originals and studio orange/geno shows I guess. Not very excited of the sequels as afterall airing sequel after a more than just one years is 95% chance likely to be miss or step down from what I've seen based in past few years I am sure most of sequels will end up disappointment in every single way.

The Fall 2019 season is not impressive if you don't care about any of the sequels that will be airing - and there's a LOT of them. I'm a fan of the Beastars manga, but I don't know what to expect from the anime. There are 3 originals, but who knows how interesting they will be. Besides that there are a few light novel and manga anime adaptations, out of those Mairimashita! Iruma-kun interests me.

Well, that’s a pity!

I was looking forward to watching this in the fall season but guess we’ll have to wait a season longer for it to air. Here’s to hoping the staff manages to schedule better and more efficiently in the meantime!

I’m surprised people are unimpressed by the upcoming fall season shows. Chihayafuru 3, Beasters, Boku no Hero Academia Season 4, Psycho Pass 3, High Score Girl II and Nanatsu no Taizai (+SAO: Aliciazation 2 if you’re into that), sounds like a top season to me!

Well that sucks. Was looking forward to watching this and BNHA season 4 come October, but I guess this one will have to wait. But if it means better production, I don't mind. This anime needs to nail the art department to live up to the stunning visuals of the manga!

Dunno about you guys but I am super looking forward to fall. I have Chihayafuru S3 and High Score Girl II to look forward to. And there is a potential of Beasters being something great.

Off to a bad start and it hasn't even started yet. The Fall 2019 season was uninteresting enough already, now there's one less thing for me to look out for :/
