Second Cours of 'Fairy Gone' Premieres in Fall 2019
The anime will have a premium screening event featuring the first three episodes of the second cours—episodes 13 through 15—in Tokyo on September 29. Cast members Kana Ichinose, Tomoaki Maeno, Ayaka Fukuhara, Yoshimasa Hosoya, and Ayaka Suwa will attend the event for a talk show. The first Blu-ray and DVD volume, shipping on July 17, will include an entry form for advance tickets to the event.
Fairy Gone began airing in Japan on April 8. Funimation is streaming the series with subtitles and also launched a simuldub on April 28. The 24-episode original television anime will span across eight Blu-ray and DVD volumes, the last of which is scheduled for a March 18, 2020 release.
Kenichi Suzuki (Drifters) is directing the anime, with novelist Ao Jyumonji (Hai to Gensou no Grimgar) composing the script. Takako Shimizu (JoJo no Kimyou na Bouken (TV)) is designing the characters based on manga artist Haruhisa Nakata's (Levius) original draft. Anisong unit (K)NoW_NAME (Sakura Quest) is producing the music.

Man, I want to like this anime so badly but I just can't really get into it. I mean I could force myself through the rest of this half of the season (I'm up to ep 4 so far) but it's going to be a no from me for that 2nd half unfortunately.
The plot is just too all over the place, and from what I've heard, doesn't seem to get better.
Most people watching it will probably feel the same way, just look at the seasonal chart and you'll realize that it's the only anime with a somewhat out-of-the-ordinary premise. All the other titles this season (excluding continuations from previous seasons) are either SAO-clones, generic rom-coms or about teenagers with superpowers.
Plus having a post-war setting and Stand rip-offs would at least encourage people to check it out.

No, no. What you're saying doesn't make any sense. The season has 24 episodes. The 1st cour, 12 episodes, are the episodes airing right now. In the next season they'll take a break, and the 2nd cour, the last 12 episodes of this season of 24 episodes, will air in Fall. It's the same case of Kono Oto Tomare! Their season also has 24 episodes, but the second half also will air in October.
The reason it confused me is because of MAL itself. MAL has this season at 24 episodes, but it also has Fairy Gone season 2 in the related animes with episodes of 12, instead of just having them broken up into 12 episode seasons or just one season with 24 episodes with a break half way through. So they need to fix this cause that's what caused the confusion.
Gotcha! It's just if things don't make some sense the better approach is to think more logically if you're lacking more concrete information about it. In other words, always assume the easiest answer for it.

Yeah but part 2 of season 3 didn't start airing immediately after part 1 of season 3 for AoT. This has 24 episodes and will run into October season and then supposedly season 2 which has about 13 eps will start right as season 1 ends, which is just weird.
Unless I'm mistaken but that's what it sounds like.

I see the confusion, they did word it awkwardly, since the title was 2nd cours(it's weird that they put an S at the end), I think they meant to say that it was originally going to be both cours in a row, but they decided to split it up. I could be wrong(I have autism and sometimes interpret statements incorrectly), but I just figured that's what they meant.

So after season 1 ends in October...season 2 starts right away..in October.
Why. Give them a break. The quality of season 2 is no doubt going to be even worse than this with them airing right back to back, and this being a full 24 episode season as well.
you know how Attack on Titan season 3 was split into to parts, that's what they mean

Fairy Gone has a nice mid 2000s anime vibe about it which is why I'm enjoying it.
