'Boku no Hero Academia' Anime Series Gets Another Movie

The AnimeJapan 2019 stage event for the Boku no Hero Academia franchise announced another movie to premiere this winter. Mangaka Kouhei Horikoshi will be supervising and drawing the original character designs for the movie, which will feature a new story.

Boku no Hero Academia has been serialized in Weekly Shounen Jump magazine since July 2014. The series currently has 22 compiled volumes in print, with the latest published February 4. The manga has received three anime seasons by studio Bones, which aired in Spring 2016, Spring 2017, and Spring 2018 for 12 episodes, 25 episodes, and 25 episodes, respectively. Two OVA episodes were bundled with the 13th and 14th compiled manga volumes in April and June last year. A fourth season is slated for this fall. Boku no Hero Academia the Movie: Futari no Hero premiered last August. All Might Rising Volume Origin manga also received an anime adaptation on February 13, which was bundled in the Blu-ray and DVD release of Boku no Hero Academia the Movie: Futari no Hero.

apparently the mangaka uses a ocncept for a fight in this movie that he wanted the show at the end of the manga. he labeled that as some sort of finale. man i hope the manga isnt ending soon after reading that :(

first movies is kind of letdown from what my friends said who is big fans of franchise. feels like your usual shounen filler movie with veri obvious outcome tho seeing some kind of AM past still cool, but look like even vigilante give you more of them. even not fans of series, it still disappoint me since i expect some kind of canon story since it's written by hori. so i cancelled my plan to watch it.

hope this one is different, but don't expect much. will goes to cinema if it's has good reception.

That was fast. I haven't even seen the first one yet. I have a feeling it'll be pretty average though, like most shonen filler movies tend to be.

s3 was a letdown, i hope they wont serialize too much risking the quality. but with the success it got i think its asking too much

This is awesome news for me, I thought the My Hero Academia: The Two Heroes movies was great. So I'm super excited to see another My Hero Academia movie

The best part about that is that Bones had completely different teams working on the movie and tv show so there is no reason for it to affect the animation quality at all.
