I'd be all for it since they did a lot of tweening to the adaptation especially in the beginning. But Studio Pierrot being trusted sounds foolish.

im just holding on to the anime production knowledge that not everything is about the anime studio its also about the good talented staff being assembled and a good production schedule

From Overlord sales, obviously Japan don't give a shit about CG or CG is not seen as bad animation for them.

If sells well even with shitty animation, there's no reason to improve.

Less resources spent, same money gained.
