Hybrid Anime 'Dimension High School' Announced

An official website has launched and announced an original anime which is mixed with live-action parts. Titled Dimension High School, the cast members consist of new seiyuus and actors involved in theatrical play adaptations of the manga, and will be aired on Winter 2019.

Synopsis
The high school boys are transported to an anime world while they are in cram school. Since then, they start school life in the anime world they are transported to.

Yurio Minakami: Shouhei Hashimoto (L♡DK live-action movie)
Tsuyoshi Kikawada: Takuma Zaiki (Dive! live-action stage)
Shouji Momotani: Toshiyuki Someya (Ameiro Cocoa series)

A radio show will be aired via Radio Osaka, the Radio Cloud app, and Niconico Live every Friday starting October 19. The show will also exhibited at the Radio Osaka booth during Animate Girls Festival 2018 on November 10 with presentation by Takahide Ishii (Junpei Shiroyama) and Takeo Ootsuka (Ryuusei Midorigaoka).

This kind of thing happened with the game Quantum Break and it turned out being shit. So I see this and cringe hard.

So it's like the Japanese version of the 1980s American "Kidd Video" cartoon series about real life band kids (played by live action actors including Brady Bunch's Cousin Oliver) transported to a video/animated world where each episode would have a live action segment/music video of the kids in our world. Sounds like an isekai genre title going back to old school roots.

This anime is different and unique. I'm happy for those stage actors.
The boys in such outfits I'm curious what type of anime they transfered to.

Not a bad idea in concept but we'll have to see when the actual thing comes out. I won't call it dead on arrival just yet.

With that being said though the director seems... hmm? Idk. We'll see.

Sounds like a failure already in the planning stages. Live action anime/manga based productions seem to be garbage after garbage. Mixing it into regular anime doesn't sound like an improvement. Especially in such half assed way...
