TV Anime 'Shinya! Tensai Bakabon' Bundles Specials

The official website of the Summer 2018 anime Shinya! Tensai Bakabon has announced that the Blu-ray and DVD volumes will bundle a short 12-episode spin-off anime series featuring Unagi-Inu as the main character. The two Blu-ray and DVD volumes will include six episodes of both the TV anime and the spin-off each, and will be released on September 28 and November 30, respectively.

Shinya! Tensai Bakabon is the fifth anime series in the Tensai Bakabon franchise, based on the family comedy manga series by Fujio Akatsuka that ran for 38 volumes in Weekly Shounen Magazine between 1967 and 1992. The manga previously received four TV anime adaptations: the earlier series were produced by Tokyo Movie Shinsha in the 70s, while the later 90s adaptations were produced by Studio Pierrot. The new anime adaptation premiered on July 11.
