Bessatsu Hana to Yume Ends Publication
Boku wa Chikyuu to Utau by Saki Hiwatari will move its serialization via Hakusensha's Melody magazine starting October issue releasing August 28. Most of the currently serialized series such as Wonder Honey by Emura, Hyakka Mangekyou by Rei Izawa, and Momomomotto! by Hisaya Nakajo will move to Manga app. Manga Park. The final chapter of Touring Express Euro by Masumi Kawasou will be available via Manga Park on June 26, then a new series will start via a new web manga magazine Hanamaru. Nanpei Yamada, Shigeru Takao, Ritsu Miyako and Banko Kuze will start new series via new web manga magazine HanaYume Ai, which will start this fall. Kyuuketsuki to Yukai na Nakama-tachi by Marimo Ragawa and Narise Konohara will resume its serialization next Spring via HanaYume Ai.
Bessatsu Hana to Yume magazine has begun its publication by Hakusensha on July 1977. Shinrei Tantei Yakumo: Akai Hitomi wa Shitteiru, 2007 manga version that received TV anime adaptation in Fall 2010, Otomen, which received live-action drama in Summer 2009, Shitsuji-sama no Okiniiri and more have been serialized in the magazine.

wow. two magazine publishers die within a week of each other, both for the same reasons. i wonder how this will effect MAL
Two magazines died, not the publisher. Hakusensha, the magazine's publishing company is still alive and kicking.
And it shouldn't affect MAL whatsoever, even if these manga get published digitally online, they are still being published under the publishing company and eventually will get a volume release, unlike webtoons.

You beat me to it, digital is the future for manga and light novels. It's time these publisher adapt, so they won't die off all of a sudden.
Publishers won't die. It's not easy for a company to go bankrupt after all, even more when those are really big ones with such market share
Some magazines will live as digital if they're not profitable but not all of them

volume buying will eventually fall as well, japan may be slow and stupid but that can't be forever. most of the money is online, peeps are losing money if they still want to go physical.
