The official website of Eir Aoi announced on Thursday that the anisong singer will resume her activities in the coming spring. The announcement also included a preview of Aoi's newest song "Yakusoku," which will be released as a CD single to commemorate her return to singing.
Eir Aoi returns to singing more than one year after indefinitely suspending activities following her fifth anniversary concerts at the Nippon Budokan in November 2016. At the time, she had already canceled a number of major event performances, including at Anime Festival Asia Thailand, at Animelo Summer Live, and at Animax Musix, due to poor health.
Aoi debuted as a singer in 2011 with the ending theme song of Fate/Zero, "MEMORIA." She remains signed as an artist under the Sony Music Entertainment group of labels.
