TV Anime 'Golden Kamuy' Announces Additional Cast Members

The official website for upcoming Golden Kamuy TV anime has announced additional cast members. Animated by Geno Studio the anime is slated for Spring 2018. For convenience sake, the information that were announced on January is included.

Yoshitake Shiraishi: Kentarou Itou (the Cardfight!! Vanguard series)
Tsurumi: Houchou Ootsuka (the Durarara!! series)
Hyakunosuke Ogata: Kenjirou Tsuda (the Prince of Tennis series)
Genjirou Tanigaki: Yoshimasa Hosoya (the Bungou Stray Dogs series)

Opening Theme Song Performer: MAN WITH A MISSION
Ending Theme Song Performer: THE SIXTH LIE

AnimeJapan 2018 special stage for the anime will be held on March 24. Chikahiro Kobayashi (Saichi Sugimoto), Haruka Shiraishi (Asirpa), Kentarou Itou (Yoshitake Shiraishi), and Kenjirou Tsuda (Hyakunosuke Ogata) will attend the stage.

it was kind of letter part so i doubt it will adapting part where they advanture to karafuto (sakhalin islands) where russian influence become much more noticable... however they are hinted lot of times and devinitely not clasical steritype only (there are, but more diverse)... there is 2 side russian in the stroy BTW...

@Kuma Well, although I'm only half-russian, if the Russian theme is shown in manga with a sufficient amount of irony and beaks (that is, classical stereotypes about Russia), then I'm very motivated to watch this anime.

you will get explained by narration... if something didn't understand enough, you can always check wikipedia, well, if you get good trasnlator, you will get foot note (the manga fantranslation is historical nerds, so it kind of plus)...

also it has MANSERVICE!

It's seinen with blood, bears, hunting, awesome characters, some historical and tribal stuff. Check manga if you have time, you won't be disappointed.

Also the cast is amasing. Love Ogata and I really wanted TsudaKen for him.

Holy crap, this new cast is awesome! Ootsuka as Tsurumi is perfect. Excited as hell for this!!

It takes place after the Russo-Japanese war, and you can see the influence Russia had on Japanese culture. Although, the series does mainly focus on tribal stuff, especially the Ainu culture.

it's hokkaido advanture with lot of ainu culture influence with few russian since it was setting between russo japan war and chinese invasion...
