The March 2018 issue of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Forward magazine has revealed on Wednesday that manga Hanayamata will reach its completion in the magazine's next issue, which is expected to be released on February 24.

The slice of life comedy manga drawn by Sou Hamayumiba has been serialized in Manga Time Kirara Forward since April 2011. The series currently has nine compiled volumes in print, with the latest (pictured) shipped on June 12 last year.

A 12-episode anime adaptation by studio Madhouse aired in Summer 2014 and was simulcast by Crunchyroll. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime series for North American distribution and released it in a Blu-ray and DVD volume in January 2016.

Edited: Didn't commented anything and forgot to add something Lol.

But its sad that it's ending. Though I want a second season really badly since it's one of my favorite shows ever.

madhouse should stay away from doing slice of life anime as its clearly not their forte

Uh no.

In fact it IS their forte nowadays since as far as track record is concerned for more recent works... they weren't exactly that great to be honest. And I'm talking about 2015 and onward.

There are exceptions for example Death Parade but even that didn't do a lot in terms of content and it was kinda weak.

But I've heard ACCA being a good one that tackles their style actually so.

ACCA was great, but a lot of anime watchers wanted more action instead of conspiracies and the protagonist was way too chill for some people lol

anyway I should check this anime out, seems cute

The anime stopped at the end of Vol 5, so one more season should be enough to cover the rest of the manga.

I would love another season of this. The ending of S1 gave me a "there is so much more to the story' feel.

Hmm, I thought that this series is relatively young, but it turns out that she already has 9 volumes, and the author started a new series 4 years ago. Well, I did not watch adaptation, but the synopsis looks good.
