'Mazinger Z Movie: Infinity' Announces Minor Cast Members

More cast members have been announced for Mazinger Z Movie: Infinity. Ryouichi Tanaka, who was the original voice of the titular character of Devilman, as well as Mazinger Z vs. Devilman that premiered in 1973, and the original voice of Tetsuya Tsurugi from Mazinger Z vs. Ankoku Daishougun that screened via Toei Manga Matsuri in 1974, have also been announced to join the cast. The movie will premiere in Japanese theaters on January 13, 2018.

Misato: Kana Ueda (the Fate series)
Misato's Daughter: Kaede Hondo (Toji no Miko)

Go Nagai (original mangaka), Shoutarou Morikubo (Kouji Kabuto), Ai Kayano (Sayaka Yumi), Sumire Uesaka (Lisa), Natsuki Hanae (Shiro Kabuto), Hiroyuki Miyasako (Baron Ashura), Junji Shimizu (director), and Ichirou Mizuki (opening theme song performer) will appear on the premiere stage greeting via Marunouchi Toei in Tokyo Japan.

Well, this is second time kana ueda played as a mom after she played as yuzu mom in citrus

And beside this, kayanon and natsuki will reunion again after aldnoah zero and shokugeki no souma

@Rei366 Yeah, it should be well known (since the world premiere outside Japan) but it hasn't premiere in Japan yet (except for pre-screening?), so it's new to Japan.

But... the cast is already fully well known !! XD XD The movie is in the box since months ! I should have taken a picture of the ending credits to sell it as news. ^^"

About the cast, I'm stil lbaffled that no character among Kôji, Sayaka, Tetsuya, Jun and Boss was played by his "historical" actor. I'm pretty sure Kôji's voice reprised its role for Mazinkaiser (who was pretty much a fanservice product too)

It's decently animated when it's in CGI (meaning mecha action). It's ok (meaning average for not a movie) for regular character-centric scenes, and the worst aspect of those scenes are the drawings themselves (looking like something from several years ago). But it never looks ugly though (at least I didn't ntice anything).
I hope you're a Kôji (the original) or at least a Mazinger Z fan. If not, the movie is entirely pointless (unless you just go for mindless CGI mecha action) and can bare what comes along. In other words, it's a full-on fan service product.

@changelog_ Well, they tried to implement a "meaningful" side (typical of the post-super robots era) to their movie, it just doesnt "click" that well. You'll still have a big blast as a Mainger fan. ;)

I'm so hyped honestly since this is a movie I've been looking forward to.

But I'll have to wait for BDs despite that because PR doesn't have the chance :S

I'm actually very hyped by this, it looks like an anime movie that isn't going to have that 'meaningful' stuff like Spirited Away and Howl's Moving Castle. Also good to see the voice of Devilman, I remember seeing some clips of it quite a while back.
