Mangaka ONE has announced via his official Twitter account that his supernatural manga Mob Psycho 100 will have its final chapter published on Shogakukan's MangaONE app on December 22.

Mob Psycho 100 was initially published on Ura Sunday in 2012, and was then published on MangaONE in 2014. The series currently has 15 compiled volumes in print, and also won the 62nd Shougakukan Manga Award in the shounen category. The manga received a 12-episode TV anime adaptation by Bones in Summer 2016. A recap episode featuring new scenes and narration by Takahiro Sakurai as Arataka Reigen will be screened on March 18, 2018. In addition, a live-action drama will premiere on Netflix on January 12, 2018.

The anime was simulcast by Crunchyroll and was also streamed by FUNimation Entertainment with dubs in December 2016. FUNimation shipped the complete Blu-ray & DVD combo in standard and limited edition this December.

Don't remember the chapter number so can anyone tell me where to resume from?

you're better off reading from the very beginning imo because the disbandment happened at the very beginning. It's how shigeo joined the body improvement club. But I believe it was around chapter 6-8? i could be wrong but that should be what you're looking for

Can't say i feel something, when another battle shounen is ending.
uhhhhhhh The manga is not a battle shounen at all, not even close to it, do some research first before commenting :')
It's a battle shounen. Maybe not in tone, but that's the basic structure behind it.

This was coming, but hearing it formally is still a little bittersweet. I really hope the anime gets a season 2 so it can also finish off the story (and we've got the summary, which might well be preparing for s2). OPM could never quite catch my interest, but Mob Psycho is absolutely amazing.

Full adaptation by Bones please with main core staff intact

Ah, there it is.
My case in point.

How is hoping for one of your favorites to be further adapted a problem? The author wants the same exact thing.
How is wanting the same studio who handled the first season with success and top notch quality to hopefully get the chance to do a second season, a bad thing? Unless you had problems with Bones adaptation, you would want the similar staff if the project for season 2 gets greenlt.
How does this make me a bandwagoner? Because I didn't read the web manga first? Do you know how lame that sounds? One of the main points of anime adaptations is to promote the source material. Without it, there would be plenty of people, who don't go out of there way to find things like say web manga, unaware of its existence. I watched Mob Psycho during its airing season and immediately put it into my favorites as soon as I had completed it and that's when it just finished airing.

Also, if you think I'm begging, you're one seriously delusional person.

one already give an ending hint since chapter 99 published around 6 months ago... it's no surprise they would end it now since last chapter already pretty concluded (and fit for a tankubon format, lOl)... i wonder what one will do next, but pls, continue OPM webtoon version... we had already a year without any update!

The manga is done?
how many episodes dose season 2 have to be in order to complete the story? 26 episodes?

if it was as rushed as first season, 1 cour will do the job... but 2 cour kinda too much since it was has less fight and more talking with slower pace...

Shit, another one? This is like the 6th time for the manga already.
Oh fuck it, I'll just put it on my On-Hold list this time around.
EDIT: Never mind I'll drop it. I forgot it's a chore reading that messy scanlation. (scatter shit chapter naming)

what messy? where do you read it?

Haven't even seen the first season yet lol, if I didn't really like OPM how are chances that I enjoy this?
I know some people who didnt like OPM but enjoyed Mob Psycho.
And personally, Mob Psycho is superior to OPM.

So yeah, give it a shot.

I'm at it, episode one done.

If it has a good finale it might become my favorite ever. Also I would love to watch a second season once it's over.

And yet again there goes my hope for 2nd season down the drain...fml

It could still happen, the author has shown his desire to have his series animated, and the recap movie shows that there's continued interest in the series.

Ok,guess I have to watch it.

That's all up to you if you want to, but I would say I highly recommend it. I do understand that if you don't like OPM you were skeptical about this, I myself had it as well. But I think this has a lot more substance to it by comparison imo. If you do watch it, I do hope you'll enjoy it, if not at least you gave it a shot.

Yep, that's exactly what I was worried about, but when it's actually almost completely different it might turn out to be a great watch.

Dec 19, 2017 12:58 PM by FMmatron

Damn maybe I should finally go read it then. I doubt it is as good as OPM, but it does look like a fun read.
