Shoujo Manga 'Akkun to Kanojo' Gets Anime Adaptation

The seventh compiled volume of Akkun to Kanojo has announced that the shoujo manga series by Waka Kakitsubata will get an anime adaptation.

Akkun to Kanojo started its serialization via Comic Gene in June 2013. The manga is a love comedy featuring an extremely tsundere boy Akkun and his girlfriend Nontan. Even though Akkun says abusive things to Nontan and sometimes ignores her, he actually loves her to the point where he constantly stalks her. Nontan, who is unaware of this, is a kind-hearted girl and find the gap in interest cute. A drama CD with the main characters voiced by Jun Fukuyama (the Osomatsu-san series) and Yuuki Aoi (Boku no Kanojo ga Majimesugiru Sho-bitch na Ken) was released in December 2016.

The art of the manga is soooo... oh well, I will just see how the first few episodes turn out to be because I couldn't read past the first couple of chapters.

So many genuinely good shoujo manga go under the radar that I have already given upon on them. I know we are never gonna get sequels to Akatsuki no Yona or Akagami no Shirayuki-hime or Soredemo Sekai. Then how about giving us Oresama Teacher or Hana-kun or Machida-kun or Takane to Hana or Ookami-heika or Namaikizakari? Won't happen I know (and I haven't even mentioned my absolute faves).

Just way too many good stories have been overlooked.

About time we got another shoujo anime.
So, is the "tsundere" guy the protagonist or is it his girlfriend? From the synopsis it looks like it is the former.

If you think that tsundere boys are better than tsundere girls then you haven't met Wolfram yet. He's 100x worse than Chitoge or Louise. I can't even understand what girls like about selfish abusive boys that they are so popular :/

because those fangirls believe that tsundere boys are hot and kind inside ...

the whole tsundere bs is the reason why i started playing vns more than watching anime

I don't mind shounen manga for girls. Stuff like Nozaki-kun, Tanaka-kun wa Itsumo Kedaruge and the like are good, in my opinion.

And that anime you pointed out, I didn't know that was from Comic Gene!

This reminds me of Wolf girl and black prince and Itazura na kiss. 2 absolutely abismall series! Tsundere boys are rarely if ever are done in a good way,(i have never seen one done corectly) more often than not they are just abusive and mean. It will just be a story about a dumb masochistic girl stating with her abusive/cruel boyfriend just because he plays nice once in a while! Just like the 2 previosly mentioned.
Will still watch it to see if its good, it would be nice to see a tsundere boy done well for a change.
Mangareaders: can you just tell me if it is done well or if he is just cruel thruoghout the entire series like in Itazura and Wolf girl?

This might be worth a try. The art is very cute, but the word "abusive" has me a little worried. We'll see.

This is what I like, various romance with various couple, not the harem(except Political harems), not the reverse harem, but a story of each person and their romance... Can't find any translation of this manga, it seems it was not translated :\
Oh well gonna wait for the Anime :)
