Seiyuu Reiko Senou Dies

Seiyuu Reiko Senou died on August 8 at the age of 84. A private funeral was held by her family.

Born Reiko Tamaki, Senou debuted as Akko-chan's mother from Himitsu no Akko-chan and has voiced well known characters such as Mrs. Pepper Pot from NHK's long running anime series Spoon Oba-san. She has also voiced Toshiko Kitabashi from Higashi no Eden Movie II: Paradise Lost and Inchou-sensei from Ashita no Nadja, among others more. Her other professions includes narration and acting.

So she voiced Mrs. Pepper Pot in Spoon Oba-san... that definitely brings back childhood memories (even though I watched it dubbed as a kid, so I don't know how did she sound like). RIP :(

I didn't know that "Spoon Oba-san" was fansubbed. I'll definitely be watching it sometime.
