I haven't quite caught up with the LNs because I have far too many stuff to read but according to people, S2 stopped at Vol 7.

If later this year, any news come up saying anime sales is on the rise, you know it's solely because of Kimi no Na wa. Tears Kimi no Na wa keep making history while the haters keep crying.

I heard that the 2nd season adapted till volume 7, so they still have 6 more volumes to adapt, right? Seems like enough material for a third season.

So, Kimi no na wa hype is still there. I thought the hype's gotten weaker.
Sin: Nanatsu no Taizai sold better than Re:Creators on the first week.

The log collections edition always sell this well.
It's because the normal blue-ray/dvd discs only have like 4 episodes on them, while the Log Collections has 16 episodes.

OT: Your Name sales are expected considering how hyped up it was tbqh. A bit high in my opinion, but nonetheless it was a good movie despite the numerous problems I had with the movies story.

wtf are those Kimi no na wa sales .the movie was ok ,but it doesen't deserve all those sales .
I wish a silent voice was released in the Japanese theaters before Kimi no na wa .

Vol 13 is indeed the last vol, but they only covered up to vol 7 with S2, so in fact they have too much content for a 3rd season or even a 4th. They can probably squeeze everything in S3 if they decide to cut some less important chapters. Judging from the strong sales, I doubt they don't even consider a potential S3.

I think you might be under the wrong assumption. Saekano season 2 stopped at vol 7. There are 5 more volumes (vol 13 later this year to wrap up the story) plus 2 side story volumes left to adapt, so in fact it has too much material to cover for S2 in any case, even if it was a 2-cour. If they want to make S3, they will have to cut some materials.

Feels good to see Kimi no na wa get so much support by it's fanbase. I got the collectors edition and I think it's very worth it.

With 638k copies in only 1 week, it's already the 19th best selling anime movie in Japan (this includes "cartoons" like disney movies aswell)
