TV Anime 'Gin no Guardian' Gets Second Season

Upon the broadcast of Gin no Guardian's final episode on Saturday, it was announced that the anime will be getting a second season beginning January 2018. More information about the sequel will be revealed at a later date.

Gin no Guardian is a fantasy anime adaptation of web manhua Yin Zhi Shou Mu Ren by Ling Meng. It was produced by Japanese subsidiary Emon under the Shanghai-based animation studio Haoliners Animation League. The anime began airing April 1 and ended Saturday on June 17 with 12 episodes.

Hmm, don't really understand all the Chinese-Jap collaborations recently, but is the chinese version I'm watching now on youtube the so called 2nd season?

Now on ep 16 and ongoing, story starting to make more sense.

You've seen Gi(a)rlish Number so you should know this. I think is called "escaping forward". When the situation is bad instead of admitting defeat you attack, hoping to gain enough to outweigh whatever was lost earlier.

It's to be expected knowing that the whole premise of the show is very incomplete. Not a fan of the show but it's great that they made a season 2! 😄 😄

Can't say I understand why this is getting another season, but I've never really understood how the anime industry works. BD sales must be high. Why people are buying this one I have no idea.

Only good parts about this show are the cat and the ED.

I have a feeling this was planned as a 2 cour or split from the beginning. Really underwhelming show with forgettable characters.

Ugh thank god. Cause that first season MADE NO Sense. I was thinking whether they actually knew that its their last episode by the pace we were going... hopefully season 2 will be much better with a better pacing. Also its a chinese anime with 13 mins per episode so its not like this second season takes spot from other potentially good animes. If chinese have money why not make a second season. plus i heard manga is quite popular.

UMM This is kind of odd but at the same time, I'm okay with it. I do need to catch up with the first one but from what I saw it isn't bad... its decent at best I guess xD
