The "Mazinger Z Movie Launch Event" at AnimeJapan 2017 has announced staff and main cast members for the upcoming Mazinger Z Movie.

Shotaro might work with him although I would have preferred if they got the previous one that did the voice for him which was for Shin Mazinger Z. For Sayaka I think Ai Kayano might work well. But we'll have go and see later on.

And yeah this doesn't really help since they showed pretty much nothing except for how Mazinger looks in certain areas.

Shotaro Morikubo might not be my first pick for Kabuto Kouji, but he can work. Ai Kayano on the other hand I can't really see as Sayaka, though maybe my experience with her didn't give me all of her range.

Okay so the cast selection for Kouji and Sayaka... Hmm, they're good, especially Aoi Kayano for Sakaya.

As for the staff members for the movie, I can't sat much for the director, although I can say for the mech designer that it's a hit or miss. I would expect at least that the designer would pull an Expelled from Paradise, while I dislike the film, I will admit from the technical stance it was good. Which is the bigger pin point here for me.

For the PV itself we don't have footage from it but from the looks of it from the look of the mech it does look pretty good. But then again I wanna judge with actual moving or noticeable footage. Oh well.

is it gonna be 2.5D animation or cel-shaded 3DCG or that teaser video is misleading?
