TV Anime 'Shoukoku no Altair' Announces Additional Cast Members

Additional cast members of TV anime Shoukoku no Altair has been announced at a stage event at AnimeJapan 2017, as well as new visual and new preview. It will be aired on Anime-ism timeslot on Summer 2017 for 2 cours.

Leledelik: Yuu Kobayashi (Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu)
Gralat: Takahiro Sakurai (Donten ni Warau)

I'm a bit worried about them though...They're clearly starting to bite off more than they can chew with this being 2-cour and them also working on Bahamut S2, Inuyashiki, and Kakegurui. Considering how much of a production mess Yuri on Ice turned out to be, this is definitely going to be interesting, to say the least.

Now that you mention it, I guess we have to prepare our expectation. I am enjoying the manga so far. The most interesting Shounen I read since HxH

AHH I didn't know about this, I'm so excited! I absolutely love the manga with its world building and historical references! Although this color palette seems a little too bright and rich for the content. But it looks like it should hold to the art style quality of the manga! (I hope, because those costume designs are beautiful)

yep it may have episode ranging from 22 to 26. As it is MAPPA so I am guessing 24 to 26 episodes.

Its Ottoman/Turkish but yeah i get what you saying
Seems european setting is kinda overdone and producers/mangakas are shifting to near east and central asia setting.

really reminds me of Magi and I love that.
More somewhat Arabian and Asian designs is always a nice change, and mappa is of my favorite studios now for making gems like SNB and Ushio to Tora.

The artstyle and animation are pretty solid so far, as well with the premise and I heard good things about this as well.

Considering MAPPA is making 3 shows in Summer... will they lose consistency in this rate? Or not? all depends really I guess.

I hope MAPPA maintains consistency in that. Because the studio already has three works to adapt. It's almost overtaking J.C Staff who apparently are wanting to become Pierrot by making more of an adaptation.

It's important to note that this is a 2-cour (expected but glad to see a confirmation).

The manga has great world building and although I don't think it will adapt some of the chapters, it can still do a good amount of storytelling. The PV so far gives me a good impression too.

Very good art style, like it so far, but that's one long ass preview, at least glad it will be 2 cours.
