TV Anime 'Kabukibu!' Additional Cast Members Announced

The official website for TV anime Kabukibu! has revealed additional cast members and a new preview featuring the opening theme song "Running High" by Hiro Shimono. The anime will premiere on April 7 on TBS at 2:28 a.m., followed by MBS, CBC, RKB, SBS, TBC, and BS-TBS. RKB will broadcast two episodes on April 17 at 2:36 a.m.

Maruko Janome: Yumi Uchiyama (Bakuon!!)
Riri Miwayama: Ayaka Asai (Hibike! Euphonium)
Katsumi Kazuma: Kazutomi Yamamoto (Nanatsu no Taizai)
Tsurani Toumi: Tomoaki Maeno (Akatsuki no Yona)

A stage event for the anime will be held at AnimeJapan 2017 on March 26 at the Pony Canyon booth. Taichi Ichikawa (voice cast of Kurogo Kurusu) and Ryota Osaka (voice cast of Shin Akutsu) are the only two main cast members that will attend the event.

Kabukibu! is based on the light novel series by Yuuri Eda. The series currently has five compiled volumes in print, with the latest published by Kadokawa on November 25, 2016.

I was hoping it's going to show us a REAL kabuki, but it looks like one of a milion fujoshibait. Characters and animation look weird.
I am dissapointed.

I had my eye on this for at least a month after being inspired by my uncanny thorough enjoyment of Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu, and I am a bit disappointed with the art style, which I had hoped would be similar to that of the original promotional art, but I'll stick to my gut for this one and hope it goes well because otherwise I will get pretty depressed.
Plus the character designs make me weak (which was probably their intention) (I am a shameful part of the fujoshi demographic :V)

Looks like another shojo show or whatever I don't care.I will want to learn how dance works.

BTW, i really dont like that genetic fused hair style! [the one with red+blond color]
hope he doesn't pop out on the screen that much.

Pretty interested in this, though yeah the artstyle looks... a bit bland if you ask me. I do hope at least the content is good enough.
