Kinda expected for Gundam to sell more honestly.

Still, good sale figures this week. I wouldn't be surprised if Yuri on Ice S2 gets announced later this year at this rate.

I completely agree, we need more variety. Otherwise I'm afraid that the market will continue to be flooded with idol shows and more gay boy anime.

We have an idol and fujoshi epidemic on our hands...

Vol.5 to 7 already got boosts on Amazon Stalker after Day 2 of the 1st live. It's all a matter of how fast can Bandai Visual print more copies because Vol.5 and 6 will be in stock at Amazon JP on March 24th. Love Live Sunshine has always been strong in the ranking at Animate and gamers, so non-Amazon JP stock will mostly come from there, otherwise it may be a while before the additional sales are reflected in the daily/weekly rankings.

Bandai Visual had problems printing copies fast enough before as we saw with Girls und Panzer TV Anime, but they've done pretty well recently with 200,000+ copies for the Love Live Movie and the Girls und Panzer Movie.

I don't have the knowledge either but some people said that 4k discs sold would be enough to reach break-even point, so 7.8k is good number. The chance of getting sequel is pretty high, but then again good sales doesn't mean getting a sequel.

Pretty strong numbers all round. Particularly happy for Sunshine, New Game, Haikyuu and Gundam. Though I expected Gundam to sell more.

Damn seems like the ticket drop was not too harsh on YOI for now.

Oh and the final volume of Re:Zero released. So this makes the volume average 10.6k at the moment which makes it the only series from Spring to reach an average above 10k.

I'm not good in the selling numbers so not sure, but are the 7,814 sold BD of Yuyushiki a good number? I really liked that anime, and a sequel would be so great, looking forward to watch the OVA!

Well there are few others. Recent Gundam Origin sold about 40k. Kizumonogatari 30k. girls & panzer movie sold crazy. Also Kimi no na wa. There are plenty of variety of hits anime (mecha, shaft(?), romance).

I do wonder what kind of anime will be popular next.
