Can't exactly trace my knowledge back to a specific source. As a fan, I naturally tend to follow information regarding the show.

Wikipedia lists 7 books by the original creator. The first four constitute the novel for the main story, which kyoani adapted (with some liberties, especially in the first volume and the ending to the thrid, the fourth is a collection of short stories of which little was adapted). The last three books are for the spin-off novel which focuses on Rikka's marching band and hopefully someday KyoAni will adapt them.

Haven't caught up with S2 yet but glad that it's doing well though.

Can't say much about S2 but I thought S2 was better than S1 for Hibike (which Hibike S1 was actually completely uninteresting, and I really didn't cared for the casts while in S2 from what I was told its going to focus on the characters).

As for Fuuka... I dropped it because I thought it was mediocre af, not only that but the main character and the other characters were either retarded or unlikable. But that's just me.

the flamewars shoud be interesting to watch... not to mention t also has good rangkings on mal...

Sword Art Online Movie grossed ￥425,762,760 from 308,376 attendees in its opening weekend, beating out the previous record holder for late-night Anime Movies, which was Love Live! Movie at ￥400,235,800 opening weekend: http://www.cinematoday.jp/page/N0089772

It should be able to pass the 2 billion yen milestone, but it will be interesting to see if it can beat the Girls und Panzer Movie at 2.45 billion yen total.
