Really? I'm glad that the numbers are actually doing good. Do you know if these rankings and sales number included the e-Book side of the sales? Since I recently learned that KonoSuba earned the #1 spot for e-book of the year 2016.

Yeah, I realized that most anime never even get a third season. Not even one of the most popular LN that goes up the ranking of the year almost every year, Toaru series, can get a third season. If Highschool DxD who sold less than 10k on average can get a third and fourth season, I hope KonoSuba can too.

I've gone back to the bunsho/bunko rankings for POS as the rankings have been back for a while now and Youjo Senki isn't a bunko format release.
These rankings include all volumes, not just light novel ones. Which is why the ranks are much lower than those in the thread above.

Musubi is everywhere and I'm getting more and more hyped. Plus, getting more and more disappointed at myself for being unable to fully read Japanese nor have a copy for myself, completely being dependent to awesome people who give out translations and such.

We're never getting a season 2 are we?? :/Would have happened long ago if it was ever going to. Not that the anime of the first season did particularly well anyway. The change of publishers can't have helped matters either.
And bigger than Bleach falling off - Kimi no Na wa. Another Side: Earthbound is not on the rankings for the first time.

Actually that's damn good for sales during a second series. Probably helped by the fact that it had never actually dropped off entirely from the first one.
Really? I'm glad that the numbers are actually doing good. Do you know if these rankings and sales number included the e-Book side of the sales? Since I recently learned that KonoSuba earned the #1 spot for e-book of the year 2016.
No, they don't include ebook sales.
The POS rankings are apparently based on about 2500 stores around Japan, but they don't specify which ones.
Oricon doesn't include ebooks either.
I don't think there are any rankings that provide a full picture of Japan's ebook sales - although there are plenty for individual retailers that make up significant parts of the ebook market. Unfortunately these tend to give very different results from one another. They also tend to be series based rather than volume based which can obscure the data. I think it's fairly safe to say that KonoSuba does well on the ebook front, though.
