TV Anime 'Onihei' Receives Prologue OVA

The official website of upcoming Onihei TV anime has announced that the series will receive a prologue OVA. Titled Onihei: Sono Otoko, Heizou Hasegawa, the 40-minute OVA will bundle a special edition of the original Onihei Hankachou novel (pictured), as well as the pilot video of the project, which will be released on February 22, 2017. The main cast and staff members will be reprising their roles.

Synopsis
The OVA will center on Heizou's character, otherwise known as "Oni no Heizou" (Heizou the Demon); the man feared among the thieves and rogues during the Edo Period. A young man traces the stories surrounding Heizou's early days and their "dogs (spies)" from his admirers Kumehachi, Hikujou and Omasa. After hearing from them, the young man heads for Heizou's private residence in Mejirodai and also learns from his wife Hisae. What is the connection between the young man's motive and Heizou?

Based on Shoutarou Ikenami's original work, the TV anime will premiere on January 10, 2017, adapting 13 different stories from the novel.

Realing the prologue before the actual main plot would imho make sense, but then again: We don't really know much about the show either right now - I have it in my book as one of the dark horses of the season, though.

This is kinda stupid, so they will realease 2months later the prologue would have made more sense if the anime aired at spring then the prologue would be out earlier G_G

Still wish there would be a PV out or anything by now since the series airs this upcoming season and that's soon...
