Although KonoSuba is still going strong, the numbers are slightly lower than the previous months. Hopefully this will not be a trend for volume 4 and 5.

I think around early 2000? Kanon in 2002 was aired on Fuji TV from 26:25~26:55 (2:25~2:55am the following day).

The latest episode for ONE PIECE is aired on Sunday mornings from 9:30~10:00am:

I see. Just want to clarify something.. is the morning slot more superior to the late night slot?

Is strongly believed that Evangelion started the late-night anime boom. The series first airing was around prime-time, but later airings were forced to be sent to late-night due to complains. Conclusion, the series was extremely popular at the night slot and brought up a lot of fans, fans that was not believed at that time was possible to achieve in such a timeslot.
After that more and more series started to be made in late-night and the system worked so much that many more series started being made per year.

Is important to note that late-night timeslot existed before Evangelion though. But it was such a bad and unprofitable timeslot, that was rarely used and normally the series placed there were series that wasn't expected much from them.

Morning slot in general is better than late night slot. Though is also important to note that the day of the week is also important. Sunday morning is the best morning time-slot because kids don't have class that day(I believe that in japan they even have classes on saturday, right?)

I see thank you. I was a toddler back then when Evangelion aired huh lol

So when did the late night slot begun? And for one piece.. it is a morning anime then? When kids are off to school?

Because they were not aired during the late-night time slot. When the Evangelion TV Anime (Oct 1995 to Mar 1996) aired in Japan, late-night time slot for anime did not exist I think. As for ONE PIECE, it currently airs during the late-morning time slot.

Just to put some perspective for GaruPan Movie's first week sales. It will already reach #2 among late-night TV Anime Movies after just 2 weeks of sales, and will probably end up at #7~#9 among Anime Movies, around where Love Live is.

Note: additional sales from the Oricon extended rankings are not factored in, and the sales from the Macross Frontier Movies “Game Hybrid Pack” editions are not factored in too.

Ok, OPM Volume 6 did better than both Volume 4 and 5, also helped that OVA 6 was easily the best OPM OVA.

I'm happy that GuP Der Film sold over 160k copies. It deserves it because it's one of -- if not -- the best movie I have seen this year. Now someone just needs to license it in the West because I will 100% buy the Blu-Ray once it comes out here. They also deserve every penny that I have on my bank account xD

Mr. Osomatsu is now selling 40k in its first week compared to 80k for the first volume. I wonder what it's final average will be.

Girls und Panzer der Film belongs in the Abfalleimer just like sein Vorgänger.
Schade that only titles that involve little girls can generate Verkaufszahlen this high.
