The first two are a little similar, but the third one isn't really.

"kara" basically just means "from" and that's the only word that connects the titles of all three...

Apr 26, 2016 11:19 AM by kuuderes_shadow

I noticed the similarities of the names below:
Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu (Jan 23 2014)
Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho (Feb 8 2014)
Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku (Mar 17 2014)

Are those kinds of naming that popular in LN?

Apr 26, 2016 9:49 AM by crx07

Well, from what I found the two versions of Hundred Vol 10 together sold around 4k or 5k. All volumes together only sold about 10k this week so looks like the LN got very little boost from the anime.

According to a tweet from someone at GA Bunko editorial department, Rakudai Vol 10 sales were good and so reprints had already been ordered.

Hundred didn't even rank and yet Inou Battle did.

As I already said, Hundred had 2 versions, which would have split the sales. Although it didn't have the >1 year gap between volumes that Inou-Battle had.

Inou-Battle sales:
vol 1-7 unranked.
Anime started airing a week before vol 8 came out.
vol 8: 6179 in what should have been 6 days but some sales were made in the previous week
vol 9 - 4385 in 3 days
vol 10 - didn't rank because it had 2 versions
vol 11 - 5074 in 3 days

Hundred sales:
vol 1 - 9302 in 4 days
vol 2 - 7590 in ?3 days?
vols 3 and 4 didn't rank
vol 5 - 6222 in 4 days
vol 6 onwards didn't rank. vols 7, 8 and 10 all had two versions.

Well at least it is nice to see Inou-Battle and Rakudai on here.

Apr 23, 2016 12:10 PM by scythefrogger

It's good to see Re:Zero boosted a bit, not as much as KonoSuba's hype though.

I wonder if the rank stopped at volume 2 because people can't go through that volume 4....

At least I get to see KonoSuba ranked again! Yay~

Well pretty much no point of comparing Gakusen and Rakudai, as both go different route.

Everyone preference is different, you think Gakusen is bad doesn't mean everyone will also think its bad. Especially the taste of japanese fans are even way more different than ours. Or some read both of the series also, like me(i have too much free time).

Either way when both the series, new volume released, sure will have some sales in 2 or 3 weeks, then slowly decline in sale. Unlike those high popularity light novels (~*.*)~

^For which read "I don't like fantasy/battle LNs so therefore they must be awful"

It's certainly true, though, that there is very little correlation between quality and sales. This is true for just about any entertainment medium, and can be demonstrated quite easily without delving into the highly subjective nature of what makes something a quality series.

For example, if a light novel gets a high profile adaptation, be it anime, live action or whatever, of if the another of the author's works becomes a big hit, then the demand for the series will go up. But yet the quality hasn't changed, as not a single word of the series has changed in terms of content (and nor, usually, have the illustrations, the paper used or whatever other measure of quality you wish to use). This alone is sufficient to demonstrate the point.

*3. 19,804 *19,804 Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry Vol.10 (14th-17th Apr, 4 days)

*5. 18,275 *18,275 Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry Vol.8 (14th-18th Oct, 5 days)

If it weren't for those big series from Dengeki Bunko, Rakudai would have ranked first. It seems Rakudai gained some more readers after the anime finished airing. I was worried that a number of people would drop this series because of what happened at the end of Vol 9.

From what I found Rakudai Vol 10 is also one of the highest ranking digital LN sales for the week. Too bad Oricon doesn't record digital sales because it's possible digital sales is as good or even better than paperback sales.

The anime boosted LN sales and there is still room for improvements. They really should make more anime so that LN sales can improve further. Hopefully we can see that scene from Vol 9 animated.

SAO, Index, and Rakudai at the top? Nice! Don't worry, Onii-Sama will be back at the top one vol 20 releases in May.

Also to note, Kono Suba cooling down a bit this week with only one novel in the rankings and Re:Zero already getting a huge anime boost.

Oh god :O
Is it 1 day of sales or something?
Hope the anime atleast sells 3K so it's not a disaster :'(

Pretty sure it was released in the 14th/15th like Rakudai(same publisher after all)

@ichii_1
Yes, it's the same label and thus release date as Rakudai, Kujibiki Tokushou and Inou-Battle, which means that it had 3 days of sales. However it's worth noting that that's just the RE. It also had a LE which came with a drama CD. On the one hand this means that the latter didn't even get in the top 500 (it's only ranking anywhere was on the daily POS ranks for bunko only on release date, in which it came 492nd), but on the other it would have predated upon some of the sales for the RE release, so the actual sales figure for the volume would be slightly higher than indicated by that POS rank.
