TV Anime 'Mob Psycho 100' Adds Staff and Cast for Summer 2016

The official website of the previously announced TV anime Mob Psycho 100, which adapts the manga drawn by ONE, has announced that the series will begin airing in July 2016. A new key visual for the series and a promotional video have been released, and the website has also expanded the production staff and voice cast.

Yuzuru Tachikawa will direct the series at animation studio Bones, with character designs by Yoshimichi Kameda and series composition by Hiroshi Seko. Rookie seiyuu Setsuo Ito and veteran seiyuu Takahiro Sakurai were previously announced to voice the lead characters of the series.

best to have consistency so there is no confusion. i had to google "Ekubo mob psycho" cause i assumed it was a characters name i forgot.

no cause Dimple is a nickname. nicknames are different. it's weird to have a nickname untranslated cause no-one would understand the meaning of it

The people at the studio chose the cast and they know his voice. It's not like we can change anything even if we know his voice and it's not like we haven't been surprised before when a studio didn't just go with the typecasts for characters. Besides, the MC is supposed to be a plain person so some unknown seiyuu's voice will fit him just fine.

He was mainly talking about the art of the manga. It has the same art as the one in the PV if not worse, as the one in the PV is more polished and consistent. That might be a bit off-putting for some people. If you like the comedy in OPM, then you might like this one but don't really expect it to be the same as OPM. It has less action and more teen SoL compared to OPM. About which is better, well, it's really subjective.

I'm not so sure about the laser SFX used for their esper powers, it makes it little silly, which would still work though
