Lead Voice Cast of 'Onigiri' TV Anime Announced [Update 3/3]

The official website of the Spring 2016 anime Onigiri, an adaptation of the MMORPG (massively multiplayer online role-playing game) by CyberStep, has announced the lead cast members of the series. A new key visual (pictured) was also revealed last week.

Onigiri will begin airing on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji on April 7. Takashi Yamamoto (Itsuka Tenma no Kuro Usagi) will direct the series at animation studio Pierrot Plus.

Shizuka Gozen: Aina Suzuki (Love Live!! Sunshine!)
Yoshitsune: Eriko Matsui (Joukamachi no Dandelion)
Ibaraki-douji: Suzuko Mimori (Kamisama Hajimemashita)
Kaguya: Izumi Kitta (Tantei Opera Milky Holmes)
Amaterasu: Natsuko Hara (JK Meshi!)

Well, that ep. was one the factors, where me in that series heavily doubted have and then finally dropped have...>_>

But I've at this anime though my hope (even if not very highly fixed yet), that this not will be... But let's first see...

This looks like generic, moe girls fighting with ecchi, godammit Mimorin why cant you pick a work in a decent anime? Sigh, I'll watch just for her, but this looks, not my cup of anime.

To be honest, I guess I wouldn't really care if it were, but it's still a bit off-putting if there were.

Enjoying it so far. Not up-to-date graphics and the gameplay is pretty average, but I get a feeling of nostalgia playing it. Seems there's also some sorta exp event going on or something? I had x2 drop, x2 exp along with some other 75% exp bonus, so I'm lvl 16 after a 30mins-1hr of playing lol

Yeah, the graphics aren't great nor is the gameplay. Plus, leveling up is super simple.

I remember playing the closed beta for it a long while back. Dang, that was 3 years ago according to an email I have. Didn't think the game would be too successful here. It was fun but I never really got into it. Maybe I'll try it again. Oh, is it a p2w game btw? lol

Anyway, looking forward to the anime, I guess

No wonder I saw this Onigiri (or rather, "Onigiri Hyakkiyakou") CM below featuring her few months ago while watching live-streaming, she voices the main character.
