The March 2016 issue of Ultra Jump
magazine, which goes on sale on February 19, has begun the serialization of Rozen Maiden Zero
by manga artist duo Peach-Pit
Rozen Maiden Zero
is set in Tokyo during Japan's Taisho era (1912–26). It follows a clumsy girl named Okiku who moves from the countryside to work in a large western-style mansion in the imperial capital. One day, she discovers a mysterious doll in the mansion's attic.
initially began publishing in 2002, but was discontinued by its publisher Gentosha after the authors put the series on hiatus due to an illness. Shueisha picked up the series in 2008, and the new serialization
ended in 2014.
The first manga series was adapted as a TV anime
in 2004, with a second season
airing the following year. A new TV series
in 2013 adapted the second manga series.
