Love Live! Sunshine!! anime to air in Summer 2016 was just announced during the Nico Nico live. This could possibly be the best seller of 2016 if they can maintain the same fanbase for Love Live!/μ's. Great news for Love Live! fans!

I honestly still don't get it lol. It makes no sense. The first volumes dics sold out completely the first day of pre sale 3.2k. Then it turns out the pre sale discs is all they had so that was all the first weeks sales where but they where supposed to re stock. Then after selling out the whole amoutn they had 3+k in less than a day pre sale after they re stock you mean to tell me they sold less than 792 or whatever the cut off was ? lololol

The whole Rakudai situation overall has seemed extremely weird to me.

What's your source that it had a pre-sale of 3.2K? There's no way of knowing such information unless the distributor specifically says so, as the Stalker estimates/points are only based on the sales ranking on Amazon JP and do not take into account anyone who has cancelled their preorders. They could've also not stocked many discs at storefront, so being sold out doesn't really mean anything.

Yeah this is also talking after the actual numbers have come out for the first week so around 3.2k is pretty accurate. That wasn't even my point though, what I was referring to as weird was first the fact that they stocked so little of it which idk maybe that's normal i'm no expert.

Then second the main one with me is how weird it is that they sold out the 3k or so copies they had in less than a day [Everyone seems to focus on the exact numbers for that which doesn't matter to what i''m saying it could be 2k and it wouldn't change what i'm trying to say.] It's odd that they sold out everything they had which turned out to be around 3k in less than one day then after that the whole next week only sold in the 700s. I don't know how Japans stuff works but being from America I just find it very odd a product of any kind be it anime or whatever could sell 3+k in one day then in total after that through a whole second week after re stock sell only 700 some.

Hurray for Yahari and Gochiusa!

Is Sakurako-san no Ashimoto ni wa Shitai ga Umatteiru anime a bust ? Or it doesn't sell well because it's a mystery anime ? The studio is rather new so I hope it makes profit .

Also, is there any merchandise :) ?

Pretty sure he means Stalker points, yeah. They predicted Rakudai at ~3200 the week before release, which is close enough that I doubt cancellations came into play much. That's about what the sales numbers were for it the first week (3 days) it was released for volume 1. There actually *was* some weirdness in the Oricon numbers for Rakudai though, as it basically gave sales numbers that matched the predictive Stalker Points almost exactly. It seemed very much like Oricon didn't have all the data for it gathered and wasn't taking into account a lot of sales outside of Amazon JP due to the timing and because a bunch of storefronts sold out and had to restock. At this point I wouldn't be surprised if it was above the 4k mark after restocking, but yeah, no one has any real data for it so it's all speculation. I imagine it'll reach 5k+ total by the 3d volume sales.

Either way, like most Anime, Rakudai will likely eventually sell enough for Silver Link to profit, along with the other merchandising they'll do, but it isn't going to be topping Oricon boards anytime soon if I didn't manage to the first week.

Nothing makes me happier than seeing top-tier GochiUsa sales. The anime is one of my favorites and I'm so glad it's at least appreciated in Japan.

Girls und Panzer Movie got a new update of its Box Office Gross. It grossed a further ¥37,269,634 (¥804,356,024 - ¥767,086,390) over January 4th to 6th, so it has passed the Idolmaster Movie. Definitely looking like it'll pass 900 million yen, but can it reach the 1 billion yen milestone?

Really good to see Gochiusa selling over 14k.
Hopefully the next volumes won't be much lower.

So you consider 10k sales a failure, all I can say is LOL.

Uh no he never considered that.

He did say it was never going to be "big" which is something very stupid as the manga is performing quite well

So OPM is not as popular in Japan as in abroad? Surprising to see.

It's like this for a lot of what Madhouse makes.

It doesn't really warrant another season. The idea got stale after a couple of episodes but what does that have to do with the Japanese preference. It was never going to be 'big' in the first place.
