Original TV Anime 'Mayoiga' Announced for Spring 2016

An official website has revealed that an anime original TV series, titled Mayogia, will premier in Spring 2016. The site also revealed the staff, preview, and key visual for the upcoming series.

Synopsis
30 young men and women who came together on a shady bus tour. The tour's destination: an elusive, and possibly non-existent village called Nanakimura. In Nanakimura, one can lead a utopian existence, free of the world's obstacles... or so it was rumored.

The bus headed deep into the mountains, carrying 30 people each harboring their own expectations and wounds in their hearts...

What they had arrived to was an uninhabited village with the lingering faint scents of life, even though it was falling apart.

I'm thinking the PV hints more towards the joy the passengers are feeling. What damaged soul DOESN'T want an escape from real life troubles? I think the horror comes in later, when they actually arrive.

Now I've seen the PV, most my interest has evaporated. It felt like when I watched the trailer for that Lazer Team (?) movie. A really cool thumbnail, then I watched the trailer and felt like it's just another pile of shit. This was the same. Interesting visual art, then I watched the PV and lost almost all my interest in it. Hope for another Shirobako/IBO is the only thing that's keeping my interest afloat.

I get the feeling this will be one of those Anime that try to be as edgy as possible...which I hope I'm wrong because synopsis sounds interesting.

This seems interesting, I don't know why, but I get a Battle Royale feeling from the preview, which makes me even more interested, I'll watch it.

The premise is interesting but the cast is too big. 30 people? Considering the trend nowadays, this is either a one or two cour series. How are they gonna develop those characters in such a short time span?

I'm indifferent towards Mari Okada. She wrote the horrible AnoHana but she also did NagiAsu which I liked. Can't wait for this. I hope such a promising premise won't be ruined by bad execution.
