Question, i know Cardcaptor Sakura was already released for Blu Ray in Japan few years ago, what is difference between this version and previous one? http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/GNXA-1149

This one has all 70 episodes, while in 2012 it was in 3 BD-BOX (episode 1~28, episode 29~46 and episode 47~70). There was also a 2 BD-BOX release in 2009 (episode 1~46, episode 47~70).

Really, there's not much difference, except buyers can now enjoy all 70 episodes at once rather than having to wait a few months for all episodes with the previous BD-BOX releases. However, the upfront cost is of course higher.

that LL LE just own the chart, not that surprising but kinda expected since it owned amiami blu ray sales for about 2-3 weeks i guess.

Not just Amiami, but Animate, HMV, gamers, softmap, etc. Pretty much everywhere at storefront it was dominating, which is why the Limited Edition was heavily underestimated ((193769 - 131048) / 131048 = 47.86%) and the Regular Edition marginally underestimated ((8528 - 6,920) / 6920 = 23.24%) by Stalker since it only takes into account the Amazon JP rankings.

10.4k Gochiusa S2
10.2k One Punch Man
*9.0k Gundam – Iron-Blooded Orphans
*5.7k High School Musical
*3.2k Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry
*1.7k Asterisk
*1.4k Hidan No Aria AA
*1.3k Sakurako-san
*1.1k Dance with Devils
*1.0k Heavy Object
*0.9k Taimadou Gakuen 35
*0.5k Fushigi(short)
*0.4k Young Black Jack.

Thank you for the effort you put in, Rederoin. I always check out your blog when looking up sales numbers of shows I like.

----------------------------

Idol animes aren't my thing. so yeah i'm kind of weary of their success.

Why?

cause when Harem shows got popular. We got hundreds of harem shows after.

when Moeblobs got popular, we got hundreds of moeblob shows after.

when Tsundere female got popular, we got hundreds of Tsundere shows after

Japan manga artists and anime producers aren't particularly original. In fact they copy the same themes endlessly until the well runs dry.

So when you see a plot theme or trope gain popularity and you don't like it. You know you're going to be in for a wave of facepalmy moments when knockoff versions are inundating the entire anime lineup for a seasons to come.

While I'm indifferent to love live!. I'm going to hate what those sales numbers do to the anime industry over the next 5 years.

Very promising. I hope it's underestimate and the real volume sold more.

Yuru Yuri S3 was underestimated and it ended up selling 50% more than stalker points estimated. Saekano ended up selling 2-3 times of estimated. So Rakudai may end up selling 5k or maybe even above 7k.

Rokka no Yuusha BD aren't even in the list anymore the week they get out~

I am sad now since reading your comment, I just got Rokka Limited Edition Vol.1 that just released here and pre-ordered Vol.2 (Rightstuf had a tempting bonus as well)

THis anime is gold and it pains me that it isn't selling that good, tempted to import all of the volumes

I actually imported all the four japanese BD that are out. Nice to see someone else buying Rokka's BD, japanese version or american version that's a nice sight anyway, especially since I think the american release sold very poorly too.

Ayyy just when I found another series I'm really enjoying. Too bad Japan doesn't like the silly fanservice as much as we do :(

Almost 8k for Digimon, I guess that's good.

Shows that they know nothing because Love Live's fanbase is 43.4% female, with 30.2% of those fans being within the 15 to 19 year old age group: http://yusaani.com/news/2015/09/19/194023/. Anime BDs aren't the only thing fans buy. There's the real life Love Live store in Japan, which is particularly popular among teenage females. There's the mobile game, where the female players are slightly more represented in the player numbers than the male players. Other associated merchandise, music BD/DVD, CDs, etc. Then there are many female fans cosplaying and dancing to the Love Live songs on Nico Nico and Youtube.

I suppose it's the sheep mentally, where they think it's cool to hate on things other people hate. Also, look at how many people lap up those reviews on ANN, and use those to dictate what they watch, rather than deciding themselves what is worthy of watching. Oh well, just have to live with these kinds of people.

This. BTW both one of my friends and his younger sister are big LL fans and play the game.

How a mediocre anime like Iron-Blooded Orphans get 9K ? is it because it have Gundam name on it ?

I'm not sure if you're baiting or if you're legit curious, but IBO isn't mediocre in the slightest. I'm not surprised at all that it's selling well.

It's the best non-sequel of Fall imo.

Baiting ?! IBO was average at most. I rate it 5/10 at most. I might have rated it 6/10 if it did not have ugly looking child main character.

I'm also watching Mobile Suit Gundam: The Origin movies, but this one is miles better than Iron-Blooded Orphans
