Mangaka Kouji Miyata
has died on October 22 at the age of 34. According to a Facebook post by his father, Miyata died of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage.
In 2006, Miyata received an honorable mention in the 8th Enterbrain Entame Awards for his entry titled Jabara
. He debuted as a mangaka later that year in the magazine Comic Beam Fellows!
with the one-shot Neko de Tandem
. Both titles were later added in the author's short stories collection, Utatane Hime
He began his first serialization in 2008 with Kikimimi Zukan
, which was published in Comic Beam
. Miyata's most recent work, Yome ga Kore na mon de.
(pictured right), ended serialization in July.
The funeral will take place on Wednesday at Dainichido Funeral Hall in Nishitokyo.
