This... sells a lot. Is it just because it's related to TG or is there really something worth reading here?

Probably just because it's related to TG. The anime was fucking garbage and it sold well so that says something. Idk though, maybe being a novel it does more justice to the manga which was actually good.

It has more than 200 pages and the ending illustrations from Root A is included. They're also not releasing all of the draft in one volumes since it has too many pages.

I hope the success of Overlord doesnt promt kadokawa to make more LN adaptations with madhouse.

Keep it to studios like Jc staff/a1 pictures/silver link, etc.

Though I feel like we might see more "transported/ressurected to fantasy rpg world" LNs get more anime
