I guess Aniplex won't announce sequels to their old successful shows as fast anymore seeing that both Working!!! and DRRR!x2 bombed. Sad to see.

How is nearly 4K sales considered a "bomb"? That's enough for another season, in most cases.
4000円(3683) = 14 732 000円 = $118.4k USD
Not to mention that this is only the first volume.
You do know it usually takes $100k+ to make one episode right?
I wouldn't say it bombed, but they most certainly didn't make a profit or break even from it either. To at least break even a series has to at least sale 6k per volume. If it makes that much or more there is a good chance of another season.
Also some things that have low sales do get second seasons cause they are planned months in advance or they have the budget to do so. Cause Shounen Hollywood got less then 1,000 per volume and yet a season 2 was still made.
Please don't misinform people. There are many variables to success of anime, it's not as simple as 6k = profit. Use your common sense if the threshold for breaking even was as high as 6k, they wouldn't have bothered making many anime. Don't be ignorant.

Lmao, isn't that made by Madhouse?
You can forget about that then.
That studio is cursed when it comes to BD sales.
That's a myth on MAL that conveniently ignore Mahouka's BD sales.
Welp, 90% of MAL say some sekt stuff that no other site says

Nope it's at the top of a list in a week. Clearly it's just absolutely crushing it and there's nothing else that ought to be considered here. Just smile and nod.
Seriously though I'm starting to wonder about the point of these threads again. It's literally like people just come in and go "oh I actually recognize that shows name so good on that one".
Also maybe Overlord actually doing well for Madhouse along with things like Mahouka and No Game No Life has something to do with it being based on a Light Novel and thus ACTUALLY targeted at the Blu-Ray collecting audience. Then again maybe people should just spin what I say into something stupid and completely misunderstand my point or just ignore it altogether cause it's potentially inconvenient to a narrative people want to believe. Just saying.

how did you calculate this?
Simple: you go to the official site and see what's their retail price, then multiply it by the sales they received?

Studio barely matters when it comes to sales.

Not with Working!!, no. But A-1 getting more money is always a good thing.
A1 is not the one getting more money.
Nice to hear that they're going to go out of business, then. Of course they don't get the whole of the sales, but they would have to get a portion to do all they do.
