Good, good. Shouldn't this have a separate thread by itself? Or its not that important? I saw this by luck.

>people thinking Shokugeki isn't popular based on anime BD sales
It's a weekly shonen jump series that survived the axe, ranks well each week, and got a 24 episode anime series, it's incredibly popular. The anime is doing its job in boosting manga sales just fine. Do you people not realize how expensive anime BDs are? Obviously not everyone is going to buy them.
In Japan, anime is not everything. Manga is a lot more popular.
No they don't. Honestly I've tried to explain all of this too people many times before, it's never really going to catch on and people are going to continue to believe that BD's are the end all be all and that late night anime rules the roost and is what's killing it in Japan and the primary and sole source of income for all anime related content and media. People just don't get how this all works really.
Essentially these threads are more for people looking to celebrate or lament something about their favorite shows as opposed to a curiosity for statistics buffs interested in what moves media in this particular market subset.
Honestly though you don't even really need to be a paid analyst working for a publisher to figure this out really or at least that's my observation. I used to think that it all owed to specific publishers, but that theory proved false and currently my new one is that it's more what certain publishers can do for certain kinds of media as opposed to specific publisher loyalty among fans. Right now the top bet to sell BD media is simply idol/music anime because of the power of concert event tickets and CD tie-ins for fans. After that shows with appealing animation and character designs with a healthy dose of fanservice (especially of the kind that appeal to fujoshi) are a very safe bet for the collectors audience. Certain established franchise with a strong otaku and in some case mainstream followings like your Gundams, Yamatos, Macross, Fates and what not also have the potential to do well.
Essentially the most ideal disc seller anime you can probably make is something that is a combination of all of the above (I can see the upcoming Macross Delta being an absolute multimedia monster with the potential to surpass even Frontier in revenue), though whether it'd be any good at all as a show is far from a given even if that's ultimately beside the point for producers.
Gundam and Macross have loads of merchandise (Macross has the edge in the CD department as well), you don't ever need to buy a Gundam or a Macross BD/DVD in your entire life to support the industry, it's cheaper and easier to buy model kits and video games. Those two are some of the easiest franchises to support outside of an purely idol or music anime.

Do you by any chance have a source for that? I know it's from Oricon but where can I find it exactly?

Wow, now I understand why A-1 wants to make this their Monogatari series so badly. I thought the drop from 36 to 20k average was kinda big for the franchise but if it's still near the top 10 most profitable franchises currently, then they'd certainly want to make more seasons. Not that I'd mind, it's pretty entertaining.

I'm happy that Shokugeki sales are not high. One of the most overrated anime this season, I can't even believe it is rated 8.5 in MAL. People enjoy watching anime about food ?!
Can´t see where´s the problem in people liking food in anime.

About God eater. Seeing as the version that does not include the anime is doing better on amazon, I doubt the Game+anime will have any big affect on the anime sales.
The version that does not include the anime which is doing better on Amazon is only the PS Vita version. The PS4 version which doesn't include the anime is doing worse compared to the game+anime bundle. PS Vita games is still sold much more compared to PS4 games in Japan despite most people has already said PS Vita is dead in the west.
Considering the anime was made to promote the game, I guess they are still going to be profitable at the end.
