Japan Wins World Cosplay Summit 2009 With Sengoku BASARA Costumes

According to the official website, the winner of World Cosplay Summit 2009 Championship was Japan. ＹｕＲi and RiE dressed in costumes of Sanada Yukimura and Date Masamune. The runners-up was Spain (in Candy Candy costumes) and US in Cardcaptor Sakura costumes won the Brother Prize.

30 people from 15 countries participated in the championship.

actually there was a Yoko cosplayer, and she was awesome I even have a photo with her :P.

Japan is not the winner every year. If i'm not wrong, Brazil won in 2006 and 2008. France in 2007. And i think Italy won too, but i can't remember the year, but it was with Georgia, in Siren cosplay from Devilman.
