Here I want to say something. Of course the economics of animation always comes into play, but the nice thing about Japan is that they tend to finish things that they started.

So while there may not be an economic reason to do a 3rd series, I would not rule out that there would be a third series. That is the ultimate salvation of Japanese animation.

FYI, I know how they work. I just never payed them any attention until recently.

Yeah I know. It's just refreshing to see the new volume getting 300k+ in the first week.

Some people said it would start selling around 10k since the anime is over. I'm just glad that's not the case.

That's right, why Japan? I asked her in twitter if she is going to do a new BL manga, she s said she is not sure because her BL doesn't sell :P
Though, I'm happy because her shoujo manga is selling xD

5 characters against Koimonogatari's 3 (which sold 266k copies against this one's 8k). Durarara!! is arguably 5 characters as well, with >328k sales for volume 1. And, if you count it, Toshokan Sensou is 5 characters with 893k listed sales - around 110 times this volume's.

I suppose he's referring to the number of sounds (or syllables - the way westerner count syllables, that is) rather than characters here by saying "short title" :p

Awesome to see Nanatsu no Taizai making it to the top 10 again, I really hope there will be a 3rd season for Gin no Saji and 2nd seasons for Akatsuki no Yona and Ao no Exorcist!!
