Rank doesn't matter, except to determine which manga is included in the the weekly Top 50 manga list here. It would've not been at the top had there been more serious competition this week, or if the competing were not in their 2nd or further weeks of charting. I pasted the Top 10 manga volumes this week below. As you can see, only 3 of the 10 were in their release weeks (MAJOR 2nd is a new series and YowaPedal had little to no chance of outselling), so it is no surprise that it was at the top considering it was not against ONE PIECE, Shingeki no Kyojin, and the other bigger selling manga in their release weeks.

Sales were no surprise... similar to last volume with a similar amount of days of release in its opening week. This is not difficult to understand tbh.

OMG, AGAIN THERE IS 3 BL IN THE LIST. I'M SO HAPPY!!

OMG, seriously, I'm so happy for SHigeyoshi sensei, this is her first BL who sold more than 15k+
If I'm not wrong as well, I think caste heaven will be her first popular BL and the longest. Her manga (Including the Shoujo's) doesn't sell well :P BUT HOPE CASTE HEAVEN BE A BIT LONG XD

Oh, glad to see Barbarities in the top as well, didn't know that Japanese girls like Historical BL xD I should read that one.

It's 10th out of the 14 Dengeki Bunko releases for this week (below Otome na Ouji to Majuu Kishi and Girly Airforce which also didn't rank). Then again this was a fairly big release month for Dengeki, and Dengeki has an average (median - using mean is pointless here) that may be slightly above the overall average, so yes.

I mean, most of the stuff in the top LN lists are stuff that already have an anime to increase their popularity and whatnot, the other LNs you don't see going much further than those 5~7k.

All the top 6 series this week were selling >20k copies before they got anime adaptations (although obviously GGO didn't exist before SAO's anime came along, so counting the main series there instead) and there are plenty of light novels that sell consistantly over 10k per volume that don't have anime or live action adaptations.
