Maybe the mangaka's run out characters to kill. You can only slaughter so many characters before the entire things become so draggy and predictable. Even despite all that, the plot's been basically nothing much aside from "opposing the empire". it's time for the storytelling to actually move on and give the readers something of substance, which i hope this last arc will be tackling on.
Akame ga Kill? Substance? Don't make me laugh.

Gave up the thought of reading the manga due to the amount of deaths in the anime. Perhaps this info will make me read the manga
Read it!
It way better. I mean the anime pretty much got to the best part in the manga and then skipped it and wrote their bad ending over it...in which they killed everyone. Bleh
At least seeing that people who are dead in the manga and alive at the end of the anime supports that the outcome should be drastically different + i'm sure the author has had a few moments of hindsight by now.

Nope it won't be so long...since you know 1 chapter per month we got less than 10 chapters left.
Never said AGK final arc will have the same amount of chapters Nardo/Bleach Final Arcs had.
If Takahiro slows down the pacing(Like SNKs) I bet the final arc will be at the very least 2 years long imo.

Yeah, laugh please. Because asking for substance in a show with interesting premise with actual plot and decent set of characters is worth laughing for. Now, do you by any chance have anything worthwhile to add?
