FUNimation Achieves Steady Growth In 2008

According to the annual business report of Navarre Corporation, the total sales of FUNimation in the fiscal year 2008 was about $70 million. It achieved more than 10% growth in the sales compared to that of 2007 (estimated to be $61 million).

FUNimation stated that 46% of their sales are originated from a single title, which is supposedly "Dragon Ball".

Last time I checked they owned about 45% of the anime market. They're doing great, but Geneon still holds that cliff in my heart.

Hmmm, I'm happy for them and hopefully they'll put out some more quality dubs and DVDs though they really are a mixed bag company--some of their stuff is gold and others are gunk.

I'm impressed. FUNi must be the ONLY Western editor of Japanese animation to actually improve its turnover. I don't think they make a profit though, or a very small one.
