It will not increase now cuz it's already ended T^T But If free was with 2 cour, It will be like 30K or maybe more r8!
Actually you have it backwards. 2 cour series tend to have their average drop and drop with each volume. So Free! ES actually has a better chance of having a higher average because it is NOT 2 cour. Just math and the fact that the more discs are released, the more fans there are that get bored and start buying series from more recent seasons. SAOII's average will drop later on unless something really exciting happens in the last few episodes or something weird like that. In the long run, Free! ES will probably be #1 for the season.

1. It has never worked, anyone still caring about it needs to grow up because it ignores the complexity of making money from anime. And "breaking even" is different from being considered a "success", the huge drops for SAO/Free/P4A compared to their S1 means chances are they would be considered disappointments.

~30-35% drop is natural for second season, it's not that bad.

It dropped over 50% from S1v1

45k -> 21.2k

Oh shiet, dem Fujoshi going HAM.

Sucks that shit like SAO and Aldnoah get high sales thanks to Aniplex's Otaku brainwashing skills.

If Aniplex see this they will be delighted actually..
If I use the same perspective I could also say that you have been brainwashed by the people and studios who made your favorite anime as well

I was looking for Mouretsu Pirates and looked at the list about 10 times trying to find it. It's like my brain decided ahead of time that it couldn't be at the top.

Mouretsu Pirates Movie had a Stalker estimate of around 10k (excluding Amazon exclusive edition), and the TV anime averaged 7,337 (with supposed stock issues... Vol.1 usually isn't the lowest selling volume for anime). Not to mention its only competition in terms of new anime BD releases was Persona 4 The Golden Vol.3 (Vol.2 did 6,545 in week 1) and Sailor Moon Vol.2 (Vol.1 did 3,651 in week 1). No chance it would've not been at the top of Anime BDs with just those 3 reasons. However, even the Daily Rankings for last week indicated Mouretsu Pirates would come out on top.

I blame 5 for it.

Sailon Moon Kai with their crappy animation and censorship has surpassed Tokyo Ghoul....

Mouretsu Pirates breaking 10k huh? Not bad. Really curious to see Nobunaga Concerto's results soon.

Not bad considering than the movie was few weeks in theaters and was not ranked according to official sources (maybe in independent sources was ranked)...

...and two years after the anime broadcast Mouretsu had keep their popularity intact.

1. Does manabi line still work now ? Which means everything in top 17 is a success ?
2. uhh, what is the different between Limited edition and First press limited edition?
3. Is there a way to guess/estimate how much an anime will sell before it comes up on Amazon ?

And "breaking even" is different from being considered a "success", the huge drops for SAO/Free/P4A compared to their S1 means chances are they would be considered disappointments.
2. "Limited Edition" usually means nothing because they usually end up not being that "limited". "First Press" on the other hand means that it'll come with extras not available in subsequent presses.
3. "Before it comes up on Amazon" as in "before it comes up on Stalker"? Nope.

Dead week too, people saving up for Fate.

Just another overrated Watanabe show.
World trigger has better animation.
