Kadokawa and Dwango Merge into New Entity 'Kadokawa Dwango'

As of October 1, 2014, anime publisher Kadokawa and telecommunications provider Dwango (provider of video portal Nico Nico Douga) officially merged into one entity—Kadokawa Dwango Corp. The shares of the new company were launched today.

Former Kadokawa advisor Tatsuo Sato (not to be confused with the anime director) has been appointed president of the new company while Nobuo Kawakami (chairman of Dwango) has assumed the role of chairman. The merger aims to consolidate the companies' positions in their respective markets as well as break new ground and play off each others' strengths.

From Software got eaten by a huge ass company. Hopefully Kadokawa can come up with something better then Natural Doctrine on the gaming front.

no in Japan they stll have ot handal Toei and bandai ie the only two entitles that have direct involmen with anime prodction that are Floted on the top 200 index in Japan or i do believe in the world since disney is semi Privet nd not fully public
