New Episode of Haruhi to Air as the 8th Episode in a Rerun [Confirmed]

According to the TV Wakayama's broadcast schedule, the new episode of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is going to air on May 24. The 8th episode of an ongoing rerun of the series is listed as "Sasa no Ha Rhapsody" ("Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody"), which is a title of a story that has not been adapted yet.

Update on May 18th, 10:00 am JST
The subtitle of the episode was erased from TV Wakayama's website. The 8th episode in question will be aired on SUN TV on May 21st, at 24:40 am JST.

According to GIGAZINE, TV Wakayama staff said they were not supposed to disclose the subtitle of Haruhi episode. They refused to tell GIGAZINE if the new episode is scheduled to be aired on the day.

Others have commented on that, but I don't see it, I watched the series only a couple months ago and it seemed the same to me. Maybe it's the fact that this is a raw and not the DVD release that makes it seem lower quality?

All in all, a fair episode, it's nice to know that Kyon is responsible for all the problems Haruhi caused 3 years ago (comon, that databurst/timequake/awakening of the ESPers was obviously caused by him going back in time some point in the future, seriously, the author of this series was wacky enough to write this, don't you think the major twist at the ending could be that Kyon bought it all on himself?)

Although, in the end, I'm still pretty sure this will go the way of the 'The Elder Gods' series by David Eddings.

I sounded like a total psycho while watching the episode... I think anime's made me an imbalanced individual... xD

Though, I did notice a change in the animation... It seemed, a bit, well, lower quality. Is it because they're doing this with K-ON! aswell? I don't know...

Actually, it's been three years, I should look at the older episodes to compare the quality. It may just be my imagination.

Haruhi was always lazy.

and Kyon is 3 years older than what he is now. from 15/16 to 18/19. sadly, he never aged a bit. <3

Bull. We've known this new season was coming since the re-airing was announced to have '28 episodes'. And we've known this ep was coming when it did since late last week when one of the TV stations put it's name on their programming schedule. Oh, and I'm glad that something told me to wait before purchasing this series. *_*
