Lenny Kravitz Single to be Used for New Death Note Movie

L change the WorLd is the codename for the spinoff of the live action Death Note movie planned for a Spring 2008 release in Japan. Lenny Kravitz's new single, "I'll Be Waiting" from his upcoming album "It Is Time for a Love Revolution", will be the theme song for this movie. Kravitz's new album will actually be released in Japan on January 30th, about a week before its general release.

The first two Death Note movies used "Dani California" as the opening theme, and "Snow (Hey Oh)" as the closing theme, both sung by Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Am I the only person that's missing the connection between Lenny Kravitz and Death Note? I'm not getting the impression that this song has lyrics that fit with DN. Unless this is supposed to be some yaoi spin-off.

Everytime when I hear the song, it reminds me of L and Death Note overall. So many memories... It's a great song btw

Hmm...not a bad choice. I liked the previous two choices for the original Death Note movies and I like the new one. Can't wait for it to come out. More Death Note and more L is never a bad thing. (^^)

I gotta say...whoever decides the themes for the Death Note movies definitely has good taste in music. RHCP is awesome, and I can't wait to listen to Lenny Kravitz's new album. Been waiting for that one for a while.
