The winners of the 8th Seiyuu Awards were announced. The ceremony for the 8th Seiyuu Awards will be held tomorrow, March 1, 2014.

I'm not surprised that Miyano Mamoru has won the Best Singing. Since his songs are so good to listen to haha :)

Excellent. Very glad Maaya Uchida won Best New Actress. She was excellent in Sankarea! Interestingly enough, no winners for Best Personality though.

According to the Seiyuu Awards site, as long as they debuted within the last FIVE years, they are qualified for the newcomer award. I hope this clears the confusion for that.

I second this one. Though I had first encountered her in GaruPan and absolutely loved her Nishizumi Miho. It was the case where I couldn't think of anyone else for that role.

To be honest, as much as I like some of his roles, there's also very irritating ones out there. But I guess he did work pretty hard this year, right? (Well, all of them did)

I doubt he was nominated but the best performance (for me) of 2013 comes from Sugita Tomokazu in Gintama Be Forever Yorozuya. l have never been more enthralled by a Japanese vocal performance in anime! Just masterful!!!

Wow...I'm not sure what the time frame is for these awards but I guess Fall 2012 would have counted as last year when HanaKana was simultaneously in Zetsuen no Tempest (Fuwa Aika), Shinsekai Yori (Akizuki Maria), and Psycho-Pass (Tsunemori Akane). How could anyone have matched that in a year, let alone ONE season!? How did she not win for that year?
