Otome Game 'Kamigami no Asobi' to Be Animated [Update 12/29]

According to Dengeki Girl's Style magazine, otome visual novel Kamigami no Asobi - Ludere Deorum will get an anime adaptation. The game is produced by the developer of Uta no Prince-sama, Broccoli. Character design is by Yone Kazuki (Hakuouki, Hiiro no Kakera). The game went on sale in Japan on October 24, 2013.

Story
Gods are an existence that must hold love for humans and be worshiped by humans. Yui Kusanagi, the daughter of a Shinto shrine, happens upon a mysterious sword in her cellar one spring day. The sword's power throws her into an unknown world, and it is here she encounters Zeus, the chief god of Greek mythology. He informs her that the weak bond between gods and humans is causing a negative impact on the world. To fix this phenomenon, Zeus wants her to go to a school in a garden world he created, live together with the problematic gods, and teach them about what humans are and the meaning of love.

Both OP and ED will be performed by the 6 main characters. Anubis and Thoth are considered supporting characters.

Oh, so they are going to have Anubis and Thoth! Good, good. Also, the art isn't too bad, from all the Kazuki Yone adaptations I've seen this probably comes in second or maybe third; depending on how the animation is, at least.

I guess it's ok. Could be a bit better but it still resembles Kazuki Yone's art. Still, I'll wait fora better scan before I pass full judgement. Thanks for the scan!

Same here. If all otome girls were like Diabolik Lovers, otome games wouldn't be as popular as they are now.

^Hope this Yui is better than the last one lol.

Ok, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be and the animation is actually DECENT. Like, wow, that's a nice change. It could have been adapted a bit better but I'm not complaining too much. And the heroine looks like she might actually talk and not act like a stupid doll.

Now, all I need is a PV for Kiniro no Corda 3.
